Question about the integrated M2 SSD heat spreaders

How good are they?

Been swapping drives about this weekend in my current main PC to free up it’s best NVME drive for the desktop.

I’ve freed up my 4TB WD Black SN850X drive for the FW desktop.

But my old 2TB MP600 Core drive is now the primary drive for my current PC, but it’s heatsink is now just sat loose on my desk as the drive is installed under a motherboard heatspreader (with fan)…

This heatspreader or the integrated FW one for the 4TB drive?

I have the same SSD in my PC using the motherboards built-in heatsinks and I’ve never seen any thermal issues so the ones in the FW desktop should suffice. If your worried about overheating you can use monitoring software.
