Realtek Ethernet Drivers on Windows 11

Hey all,

I just installed the latest driver bundle and noticed my Realtek ethernet driver was thrown way back to ‘24 which is a very old version. I want to at least stay on the latest for this since I have experienced random ethernet drops on this machine.

Can anyone offer some guidance here on which driver to download? I went to the Realtek website clicked on Downloads > Communications Network ICs > Realtek PCI GBE Ethernet Family Controller.

Then the site gives several options for Win11, there are actually two specifically for my OS with different version numbers 10.79.20, 10.79.50 and both do not support power saving. I went ahead and installed the x.50 version thinking it’s the latest but I really don’t actually know what I’m doing at this point. Sorta just doing whatever works, and long as my ethernet connection remains stable.

It should be one of the NetAdapterCx v11 drivers.

I’m using the newest version 11.027.50, with power management disabled in the network card properties.

I am noticing my ethernet port (Realtek) on the back of my Framework Desktop drops every 24 hours. To bring it back to life, I open CMD in Windows 11 and perform an ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew to get it to work again. I haven’t figure out what causes it to drop the connection in the first place.

Realtek Driver Version: 1126.20.729.2024
