I don’t like Twitter. I also don’t think Framework should be cancelled over using it or anything- plenty of organizations have decided to stick to Twitter exclusively, even explicitly political ones whose core values are completely misaligned with it. I get it, social networks are sticky. But we’re tech people, and that seems like a non-tech person’s problem.
Anyway, it would be nice if I didn’t have to either A. make a Twitter account or B. use some proxy like xcancel.com just to get updates from Framework’s social media team. It should be easy enough for the social media team to post updates to the Fediverse and Bluesky accounts too.
No issues with them using something like Twitter, but it would be awesome if they also had a presence on an open social platform like Mastodon (the Fediverse). I think that aligns very well with Framework itself.
There is the Framework’s Mastodon link in the footer area of the Framework’s website https://frame.work/. But there is no Bluesky link. The topic of the Bluesky was discussed in the past in the thread below.
I wrote the reason why I want to see the Framework’s posts on Mastodon/Bluesky below.
I believe Framework is trying to hire a person who will work on posting texts on social media platforms for the following position.
Framework’s Mastodon/Sluesky account’s updates are not as frequent as their Twitter account.
