[RESPONDED] Bios Questions (Intel 13th Gen)

I wanted to ask if there’s an update to the bios. I was looking into messing around with overclocking the CPU and integrated GPU just to see how fast I could make it go before setting the settings back to default

The article at Framework Laptop BIOS and Driver Releases (13th Gen Intel® Core™) says the latest version is 3.03, but dmidecode and the bios version number in the bios says it’s 3.04. I also tried to make a backup of the bios, but flashrom nor attempting to manually dump the bios with dd resulted in actually dumping the bios

Others with a 13th Gen have said they have 3.04 too. It’s just not yet on the knowledge base page.

Yes, our newer shipments of 13th gen are shipping with 3.4, so this is correct. The guide is scheduled to be updated in the near future.

I’m guessing no updates on when 13th gen might get new bios versions?

I guess I need to order another usb-c port since hdmi (likely that, maybe something else) seems to be draining battery.

OK, so FW is shipping new Intel 13th Gen laptops with V3.04 (or 3.4?) but that version is not available for current owners of 13th Gen FW13? Care to elaborate?
