Hi Folks, I’m considering getting a Framework 13 with Ryzen 7, but wanted to make sure an HDMI expansion card would work. I see posts from people that say they have HDMI expansion boards on their Ryzen laptops, but nothing I found addresses whether they actually work or not. The Framework knowledge base has a list here of what works in what slots, but no HDMI is listed anywhere, only display port and the display port icon, which is not the same thing as HDMI. I’d just rather be safe than sorry! 
Yes, it works, same ports as DisplayPort (labeled “display output” on the image).
Yes, an HDMI expansion card will work on an AMD Ryzen 7 Framework 13. All expansion cards work on all Framework laptops.
The expansion bay is for the Framework laptop 16 only.
