[SOLVED] Installing Linux OS on expansion card

I looked carefully in the forum and was surprised to see that there was no post with guidance on how to do this (only posts on people facing issues during/after doing it). I am looking to install Zorin OS but I believe this will be applicable to any Linux OS.

I have Windows 11 installed on my Framework. I want to keep it installed on my Framework SSD and would like to install Zorin OS for dualboot from an expansion card. I followed the Zorin OS instructions and expected to be able to select the expansion card as a partition to install Zorin on, but I didn’t see that option anywhere in the installation flow.

Is there anything in particular I need to do to install on an expansion card instead of an internal partition on the SSD?

Hi

I installed Ubuntu on a 256 Expansion card by just following the general guides on the Ubuntu site.
