I’ve just received my Framework 16 and I’ve followed the quick start guide to install memory, storage, and input modules. I have a component left over. I can’t see it in the shipping manifest and it doesn’t seem to feature in the quick start guide. Does anyone know what it is?
That’s the interposer used for a dGPU. Don’t lose it.

it’s the expansion bay shell interposer, i think you may have ordered both the shell and dgpu in your order, and framework preinstall the gpu in that case over the expansion bay shell. if you want to use the shell youll need to swap the interposer too. if you do lose either interposer you can order new ones (but they arent dirt cheap so do keep hold of them)

Thank you. That explains it. I hadn’t realised I’d need to change anything else when swapping between the graphics card and the shell.
