I have the same. More over my slot 2 with usb A card some times completely lose power on it same like in your described scenarios after some time or ejecting device. i tried with usb power meter and no power on port at all…
Also for some related reason i have one usb pen drive usb 3 gen 3.2 which completly dont work in any usb a slots 2 and 4… But it works if plugged via old cheap usb 2 hub.
