Are there any guides to minimize this issue? I’m using Ubuntu 24.04 on an Intel Ultra FW13. To get hibernate to work on closing the lid I had to do the following:
- Follow this guide to enable hibernate: How to Enable Hibernate Function in Ubuntu 24.04 & 22.04 LTS | UbuntuHandbook
- Disable secure boot: [RESPONDED] Secure Boot not shown? - #4 by Matt_Hartley
- Change lid close behaviour: Change Lid Close Behavior in Ubuntu 24.04 | 22.04 | 20.04 | UbuntuHandbook
- Set
IgnoreLid=true
inUPower.conf

I am fairly new to Linux so I’m not sure if disabling secure boot/changing the settings in UPower will cause me problems down the line but my laptop now appears to be hibernating when I close the lid
