So I wanted to run some Windows apps under Boxes so I don’t have to setup dual booting.
However it just doesn’t work. VM just terminates with the message gnome-boxes[10944]: machine.vala:605: Failed to start Microsoft Windows 10: Unable to start domain: unsupported configuration: CPU mode ‘host-passthrough’ for x86_64 qemu domain on x86_64 host is not supported by hypervisor
Virtualbox works but it’s just not good enough as it can’t provide direct access to videocard so everything would work seamlessly.
Is this fixed by bios update?
