Just a note:
My USB-A card suddenly stopped working after a Window 10 update. It was either the update KB5009543 (2022-01 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems) or KB5008876 (2022-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8).
The solution was simply to remove the card and reinsert it.
I’m posting this for two reasons:
1 - in case anyone has this problem and hasn’t found the solution yet
2 - in case this issue is more prevalent with cards and Framework needs to address an issue
