Usb all non functional + can't reboot

Hi all,

So yesterday, my laptop’s usbs all stopped working, and I then realised I can’t reboot. I can only shut down holding the power button.
I can’t use a mouse or else, and can’t use a usb stick, which means no usb boot.

I reinstalled grub, updated all my drivers and got the message (while the update was taking place) “usb device enumeration failed” for all my ports.

Here are my specs:
12th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-1280P 1.80 GHz
32 Go of Ram
Zorin OS

Hope someone can help

Also, it’s a dual boot system with windows 11, and the same issue happen there too.

Sounds pretty nasty. :frowning: You can try this, it has helped people with odd problems like this in the past.

Sadly, I have already tried this and it hasn’t worked. I also tried factory settings and nothing either

:frowning:

Other than general suggestions like removing and re-seating the memory (which doesn’t sound useful in this case, though you never know ‘til you’ve tried it), I can’t think of much else to try.

I assume it’s not under warranty anymore? I don’t know whether Framework’s support can offer any suggestions, but that’s the only other thing I can think of, short of replacing the motherboard.

It’s not under warranty, sadly.

I will contact support and see what they say.
