I’m curious how bring my own part will affect warranty on the system.
I’m reading between the lines to infer that it at least won’t negatively affect the warranty period for the entire system. Of course, please correct me if I’m wrong.
The part I’m unsure of is how warranty works for the individual parts. For example, if I bring a SN850X, I’ll get 5-year warranty from WD. If I get the same thing from Framework tho, do I just get 1-year warranty from Framework? Or do I just have to go to WD after the 1-year period with Framework? Same thing for memory.
Obviously, this isn’t a big problem because mobo is likely to fail much sooner than the disk. But still, want to make sure I understand this correctly before I make the jump.
