Wi-Fi Card: Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 No vPro (bought via Framework)
TL;DR: Bluetooth pairing list does not show every device available.
Hello there, thank you for reading first and foremost!
Hope you are well.
So, I have just gotten a Factory Seconds Framework 13 and I love the thing to bits! Problem is, I am having a bit of an issue with the Bluetooth behavior.
When I try to open the Ubuntu Settings app to pair a Bluetooth device with the laptop, it never shows a full list of devices that should be available.
For instance, I have tested with four devices so far:
- An Xbox Series Controller
- Logitech Pebble Mouse M350
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
- Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G Ne
All of the devices listed above were in pairing mode and showed up just fine in every other Bluetooth enabled device I have. And, they paired with each other just fine. However, the Framework will only list the Tab S9 and Xiaomi phone as things that it can pair to, it will not list the Logitech Mouse NOR the Xbox Controller, no matter what I do.
I have mostly just tried rebooting the thing a couple of times to no avail. This isn’t that big of an issue because the mouse and the controller can be used through USB, HOWEVER, it would be nice to free up those ports so they can be used for other things (Only have two USB-A modules).
Now, I am somewhat aware that support for these Intel Wi-Fi cards on Linux has been…Bumpy… But, I am not sure how to check/change kernel versions in order to increase the likelihood of better performance. So, if that is the fix, I would appreciate some thoughts on changing the Linux Kernel version and how to do it!
Other than that. I’m lost!
I do appreciate any input and more importantly, am willing to send out anything more specific/terminal command outputs in order to help! I’m on vacation I wanna play some games dang it!
(Also please be patient I am not a Linux power-user, just chose it because I didn’t want to use Windows 11 anymore. Also, not a native english speaker!)
Thank you for reading, have a nice one out there!
