What are the Linux system requirements for tablet mode?

Hi folks,

Arch user here. Laptop mode works great.
As to tablet mode, opening the lid wide locks the keyboard and the trackpad, but the only way to unlock them is to suspend and reawaken the machine (via gui+touchscreen, or via closing the lid).

iio device 1 (lid angle) does not work, and the raw value returned is always constant=500, regardless of lid angle.

$ cat /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1/name
cros-ec-lid-angle

$ cat /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device1/in_angl_raw
500

Auto-rotate isn’t really a deal-breaker for me, but having to suspend/awaken once I fully open the lid is. Am I missing something obvious (likely)?

As there are other Arch users above who mentioned getting everything apart from auto-rotate working, I’m intrigued.
