Why do my time to lose power estimates lie so badly?

When I get the alerts telling me that “your power is at 20% and you only have 2 hours to re-charge” (paraphrasing), why does it lie so bad? It is actualy going to run out in 20 to 30 minutes? Why should the time estimates for this be so bad? Is there any way to give hints to the system to make them better?

put simply, battery usage estimates are kind of stupid. they don’t really work well on any operating system ive used

Even on windows 11 the estimations are buggy as hell , tried to make it more accurate on my Framework Hub but no luck so far

yeah, I trust my guestimate and if I’m really stressing I run hwinfo64 and check power consumption
