Why do the 2.8k screens require in-person delivery?

I’ve bought a bunch of Framework stuff over the years including three laptops and none of it required me to be physically at my home when the delivery guy was there. For some reason the 2.8K screen requires me to be there in-person even though I have filled out online that they can just deliver it. They’ve been trying to deliver it for a few days now and of course I was at work so they were not able to. It’s now lost somewhere else in the state and for some reason now they’re trying to deliver it to the wrong home according to the carrier’s website. All this back and forth probably also adds opportunities for it to be damaged. Why was this setting enforced and why don’t we have a choice to disable it? Is this a new Framework policy? I hope not, because that limits my ability to buy more stuff as I am almost never home during the weekday.

In my experience I have always had to sign for package delivery with Framework shipments. Some couriers (such as DHL, and FedEx but not in all places to my knowledge) do allow you to authorise a non-signature delivery but you have to set that up yourself. Some couriers, also depending on location, may not offer such services either.

In situations like this, is getting it delivered to your workplace an option? My workplace post room allow it, and they do the signing for it.

Unfortunately shipping anywhere else is not really an option. It did get delivered finally after it got shipped back to Framework. I gave their support my feedback directly so hopefully something changes there.

I stuck it in my Framework Chromebook - looks amazing!
