I am curious about the expected behavior of my Framework 13 when Windows 11 suspends and transitions to hibernate. For my Framework 13, when I open the lid after it has transitioned to hibernate, I need to manually press power to get the machine back to life. Some of my other non-Framework laptops would just startup under these conditions. If this is the expected behavior, is there an option for it to auto-wake on lid-open after a hibernate operation? Thanks.
The way the lid sensors works on the Framework 13 means that what you are experiencing is normal. When the computer is hibernated the lid sensor is no longer powered. This means waking it is possible only through the use of the power button.
You can, however, control how much battery is drained before hibernation is entered, at the cost of more battery life.
