13” won’t boot for OS setup

Hello, my 13" FW ai7-350 won’t boot.

I bought the same SSD that Framework would have sold me and the RAM is from Fury: ‘Fury Impact PnP RAM 16 GB DDR5-5600’. I downloaded Windows onto a USB stick, plugged it in, and now the laptop won’t turn on. Occasionally, the fan spins up, but the screen remains blank.

Can you help me?

Should I contact support?

generally.

are you getting blinky led codes on the side? it would tell you the results of the self tests tho Idk if there’s info on what they mean like there is for the 11thgen.

but any “reds” probably mean.. contact support.

Welcome to the community.

Your ram may be suspect.

Take out your SSD and try just getting it to POST.

Is that Kingston Fury Ram or some random Fury ram? The newest AMD boards are very particular on ram that works. Not all DDR5 5600Mhz ram is created equal. You might try buying a stick from their approved list of manufacturers models they tested.

You should contact support though. They will do the same thing though to start isolating what is preventing it to POST. They tested the board before it left the factory (they test all of them) so odds are it is a component that was user installed.

There have been at least two reports that I remember where people have bought cl40 ram sticks for their AMD AI machines which would not work despite being reputable brands, but everything worked fine when cl46 ram was used. It seems this processor family is more finicky over ram speed than the previous AMD processors which appear to be happy with cl40 ram.
