2.8k power saving colour saturation issue

recently done my first upgrade to the FW13 from the original screen & i5-1240p, over to the 2.8k panel & ryzen5 AI sysboard

i decided to go with a reinstall of OS too, from the classic Fedora kde, to Kionite.

When entering Power Save Mode, i notice that certain greens and blues (especially Cyan) appear very oversaturated. CTRL+B/change power mode into balanced or performance immediately restores the correct colour.

It seems clear there’s some panel power saving feature going on that’s causing a problem with colouring, but i’m not sure what options are available (ie: where do i actually find applicable options to test with) or where to start looking as all the info i’ve found so far has nott helped like disabling VRR or change the ICC profile.

i’m currently testing rpm-ostree kargs --append=amdgpu.abmlevel=0 which i beleive is for the AutoBacklightManagement level (i could be wrong here), but it doesn’t seem to make sense as this does not appear to be a brightness problem.

If you search this forum with that, you will find a lot of threads about it. It is indeed AMDs power saving feature for the panel.

I found a solution, should behave the same on tuned-ppd on Fedora
