2nd gen Fan

Hey there,

I saw that there’s a new fan available on the marketplace, I can choose between 1st and 2nd gen.

Are they both compatible with both motherboard generations, and is there a significant improvement in cooling efficiency / noise?

They’re not compatible, the old fan is for the old mainboards only and the new fan is for the new ones seems to work for both.

  1. Fan (1st Gen) is compatible with 13th Gen Intel® Core™.
  2. Fan (2nd Gen) is compatible with all Framework Laptop 12 - included with Mainboard (Intel® Core™ Series 3).
