As you all probably know, AMD is running an “Advancing AI” event next week which will be live streamed.
I suspect the AI Max 395+ will get some focus and perhaps answer or provoke questions around performance, software, drivers, maybe even extending with GPU?
Even if these questions don’t get addressed I’m looking forward to hearing what Andrew Ng has to say

Ahead of this event, but unrelated to AMD, Apple have released a paper titled “The Illusion of Thinking: Understanding the Strengths and Limitations of Reasoning Models via the Lens of Problem Complexity” which questions the trajectory toward AGI. You can find the paper at https://ml-site.cdn-apple.com/papers/the-illusion-of-thinking.pdf
So, the Keynote was, other than the ROCm and Dev Cloud, very much enterprise focused. One slide only on the AI Max 395+ which did not get a specific mention when it was displayed.
I find the new EPYC processor exciting. Double the bandwidth between the CPU and GPU and per-socket memory bandwidth to 1.6 TB/s (up from 614 GB/s). No directly related to max+ 395 but give us some hints about the future.
