@Davy_Bell Have you been checking your spam folder? Apparently some people had their preparing to ship email get shuffled to spam. That being said, I didn’t get anything since I placed my deposit on July 27th.
DiY i5, Batch2 ordered June 10th, Canada. Getting ready email Aug 16th. No charge yet. I’m curious if people in Canada will have more of a wait. We will see.
I had a similar question. I changed my default payment to a new CC after the initial deposit. When I received my pre-shipment email, I noticed that the payment method listed was the original CC used for the deposit and not the current default payment method. I emailed support for clarification on which card would be charged for the balance. This was the reply I received:

As long as the card you added is set as “default” in your Framework account you should be all set. Unfortunately I cannot check your payment method so I do recommend you login and make sure the accurate card is set as the default payment method.
When they finally charged the balance, it was charged against the CC listed as the default payment method. So I think it’s really important to make sure you have a valid default payment method.
It seems that most people in Batch 2 received a “preparing to ship your batch” email, but I have not received any updates since when I placed my deposit on July 27th. Maybe I need to check my default payment card on there…
I received my tracking info for my DIY i5 kit! I assumed that these would be coming from CA but mines coming from NJ. It is scheduled for delivery tomorrow! Woot!
@lthemick Batch 2 i5’s were sold out when I went to buy one on 24 July, otherwise I would have bought one. Instead I went for the i7 so I could get into batch 2.
@Simon_Pratt I mistyped; I ordered an i7, not an i5, specifically to get into batch 2.
@Zack_Matthews Glad to know I’m not the only one waiting!
I’m mostly anxious because my spam folder is always empty - generally a good thing, but now I’m wondering if my provider is a little too good at filtering…
Also, you should check your bit buckets, especially those underneath any routers or bridges. That goes double for any network cable connections which may have a mismatched cat5/cat6 interface (of course, you’d probably notice if that were the case, with large data ponds forming on your flooring).
I can’t tell you how many times noob techies failed to check these simple fixes until the more seasoned amongst us enlightened them…
I installed drip irrigation years ago, so any data leaks from mismatched cables etc are filtered on their way to the code garden. It’s proved a godsend with the endless gushing streams of ads from PI-hole! But the filters do get a bit gungy this time of year and I haven’t cleaned them in a while…
@James_Yoo. Unfortunately I have been checking it and nothing yet.
@Brendan_Seabrook same order as me AND in Canada also. I wonder if the Canadian CC charges are slower (or they are using another distributor for Canadian shipments)
I got the batch 2 preparing to ship email that everyone got, but no shipping soon email.
Placed order for the i7-1165G7, on Jul 26. I selected the power brick, 4 expansion cards, and 2x8GB RAM.
Sadly I may have to cancel my order if it doesn’t ship by the 28th - I leave to another country on Sept 3rd - which gives it 5 or so days to arrive if it ships on that day…
