AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series, latest BIOS. I’m getting an update notification in GNOME that’s driving me bonkers that’s telling me that every single time it’s reminding me that I did a BIOS upgrade. That’s it. That’s all that’s been installed, weeks ago though.
I did the installation via a USB boot, outside of the fwupdate utility (I think that’s what it’s called) because there isn’t enough room in the /boot partition for it to run. It worked fine, and it’s running fine, but it’s alerting me that I did this upgrade every single boot.
HOW DO I GET IT TO STOP?
I’m about to reinstall Ubuntu to 26.04 (after the 26.04.1 release in August, I’m not running a “stable” distro to be cutting edge). I’m currently running 24.04.(whatever it would say it is now as it’s up to date).
Thanks for the insight!
