Hello, I am trying to update the BIOS on the Laptop 13 with 11th gen Intel CPU from version 3.19 to 3.23 and 3.24, following the guide. Since I have Bluefin OS, I chose the Linux efi approach.
After booting from a thumb drive, the efi interactive shell starts and startup.nsh seems to run fine. However, the computer has been working very hard (fans going) for over 4 hours and no progress logged on the screen. Is this normal? How long should I wait? If it is not normal, what can I do at this point?
I resolved my issue by following these instructions from a while back and it seems to have worked. The script does not restart the computer and I had to power off the computer manually. When I restarted it, it entered the system update. It then restarted itself and went through a normal boot process. I had to shutdown and do this process twice since there were two upgrades to complete
