Webcam feed is really really blurry; frame rate seems fine. I tried running through various camera settings in OBS but nothing changed this. I also tried opening/closing the toggle switch, restarting etc. The video feed is also blurry in other apps (Discord, Zoom etc.) Previously I was running Pop_OS and didn’t experience this problem, but it’s been six or seven months since I switched and I’m not sure if I’ve tried using the webcam until now. Any ideas / thoughts are appreciated!

This is a very silly question, but did you install the updated camera or replace the camera? If so did you remove the cover plastic over the lens?
thanks for the not-silly questions! I haven’t updated the camera. As far as I can tell nothing is covering the lens on the outside of the bezel. However, I pulled up the bezel and the lens immediately fell out, so I’m guessing it’s not sitting flush with the sensor? Should the lens be relatively stable / held-in-place when the bezel is off?
The lens is attached, I have not had the lens loose or come off on either the replacement 1st gen on my robotics team 13 or on either the original 1st gen camera or the 2nd gen camera on my person 16. I think you have just found your problem. Your lens was not attached to the sensor so the geometry was off, causing the camera to be blurry. I would contact support.
Yeah if I press on the bezel around the lens (and thus push the lens closer to the sensor) the camera goes into better focus, so this is definitely the problem. thanks for the help troubleshooting!
