Can we keep this as a meta mega thread for body kits only projects?
Here is the ones I found so far:
Or will you need to purchase a whole new laptop to use these new features?
Hi,
Currently, a huge deciding factor for me as to whether I should hold off on purchasing a Framework laptop until, for example, an AMD variant of it is announced or get my hands on one as soon as it is available in my region is a financially viable option to re-use a motherboard in a new body.
My plan is to build a laptop for my parents, using the motherboard from my Framework after upgrading it.
Hence my question, are there plans to sell fully-assembled, DIY kits without a motherboard?
I started working on such a body kit that turns Framework 13 into a Frankenpad:
Now that the AMD option is on the way I am thinking of buying the DIY version then 3d printing the top and bottom covers from something as close to glass fiber reinforced plastic using the design from Thinkpad T440.
The wild part is that I want to integrate the external ThinkPad Compact Wired USB directly in the chassis and connect it internally to USB so that the Trackpoint works out of the box without the need for custom QMK. I understand that this will increase the thickness of the chassis sā¦
Please aggregate only DIY body kit projects here i.e cases that can be sold on the marketplace separately from components and listed into the Customizations section which contains display bezels so far.

I made the top post a wiki so anyone can edit and add to it, rather than posting comments.
