I couldn’t find anything about this, but is there any UART or serial port or such someone could use to diagnose issues? For example in case of a bad UEFI flash? Thanks!
I don’t recall what functions it offers, but search the forum for “Case closed debug” or EC debug.
That can be rather serious. But shouldn’t be too likely to happen with normal flashing. There is a thread or two on manual flashing of chips using a pogo-pin jig held to the chip.
Something like this? Success in recovering from bad BIOS upgrade - Framework 13 AMD 7040
But as @cesfahani says in that post:

maybe @Josh_Cook ‘s EC Debug Expansion Card can help.
@fwjpwj
Josh does not sell anything any more.
If you order a part, it will never arrive.
This one is better.
That is where i got mine.
If the problem is a bad UEFI flash and the laptop is bricked. There is not a lot one can do, apart from locating the flash chip on the main-board and re-flashing it with special equipment.
The FW laptops do not have protections from getting bricked like other PCs do.
There is no recovery BIOS, that is falls back to, if a Flash upgrade fails.
Some people have reported being successful with the FW13.
For other problems, on the FW13 there are two things.
- CPU console port - using a EC CCD card on the left hand side.
- EC console port - using a EC CCD card on the right hand side.
On the FW16, only (2) is available as far as I know.
For example, I have used the EC console port to help fix bugs in the EC firmware.
