I want to buy a Framework Laptop 13 DIY with 4 different expansion cards.
Does it come with 4 “empty expansion cards” (empty meaning that doesn’t have anything it’s just a aluminum box)?
No, it doesn’t come with any expansion cards. You need to select the needed ones during ordering.

Welcome to the forum.
As mentioned you can buy your selection and there are private, empty ‘snack draws’
Search for snack, dongle hider etc.
Else you end up with gaps which are not pretty, or nicely tactile etc.

I’m not a Creator/Developer. Just a “end customer”.
I want this “snack drawer” from framework company, not for a 3d-party company.
This should be provided by framework out of the box.
What if i want to only buy 2 USB-C expansions, because is what i need. The other 2 expansions i want them to be filled with “snack drawers” that match the laptop color. 
The USB-C expansion card are passive (take no power, have no active electronics), they are just like short USB-C extension cables. As basic and simple as a card can get outside of the snack drawers. Iirc Framework has said that they do not plan “dummy” cards, as not enough would want them. There are costs involved in stocking and fulfilling additional items in every distribution center. Not worth it for something that gives less functionality & few want.

I’m happy to work with Framework if they want to work on creating an official product.
