In light of this recent video showing how easy it is to obtain the encryption key from dTPM modules I was wondering whether the Framework (13) uses a dedicated TPM module on its motherboard, or the CPU’s fTPM functionality. Or is there even a difference between Intel and AMD here?
If you’re concerned with extracting keys or things like that, get a YubiKey or similar. They’re not TPM, but they’re a very good hardware token.
@Aaron_Baff not concerned, I was more curious whether it would be as easy on the Framework - and evidently I guess it’s not, at least not on AMD.
