The 5070 GPU’s USB socket supports up to 240W input. What if you plug one on the GPU the other on the mainboard?
Why would you expect it to make a difference?
Combining power from multiple switch mode power supplies remains challenging. So if Framework put the money and effort into doing it, they would certainly be advertising it.
What makes the 5070 takes up to 240W but not the 7700S?
Because they spent the extra effort and money to add a PD chip. But that is not enough to enable combining multiple power supplies.
I get it. it’s only a PD chip for negotiating 240W, not a fully fledged DC-DC converter
