Has anyone messed with just making a 3d travel case, kinda looking for one for traveling and not wanting to buy the pouches and stuff since i only need to make one or two
I know this isn’t what you asked for, but I’m going to buy this one.
At $10, it’s not too bad, but the downside is that it’ll take forever to get here, and who knows how the quality will be. However, this should be arriving around the same time as my laptop (batch 4) so it works out! Hopefully some 3D models get made though for people who would rather print their own.
@mxg made one!
Just figured I’d post an early prototype of an expansion card holder- something I can fit into a laptop bag easily.
Pretty simple, push up from the back or press down on the front to free the card to be pulled out.
Need a little bit of work, and I’d like to figure out some way to lock the affair shut. This early prototype just holds one card but should be able to scale to as many as desired- maybe even back-to-back to hold double the cards.
#2 - There is one that Nirav made too. Not sure how I missed that
Since we have a bunch of Expansion Card prototypes floating around, I made a simple Expansion Card holder to organize them on my desk. The attached .stl file is easy to 3D print on any home 3D printer or 3D printing service like Shapeways. You can also use OpenSCAD to modify the .scad file to extend it support to more or fewer cards.
