- Framework AMD Ryzen 9 7040 with 7700S
- Fedora 43 (all latest updates)
- BIOS 04.03
- HDMI extension card firmware version: 3.0.16.106
- Kernel 6.18.5-200.fc43.x86_64
When the HDMI card is connected, I cannot connect my external screen via USB-C, when the HDMI card is not connected, I can connect the screen (GWD, 0x1580 “ARZOPA”). Regardless of whether the screen works or not, I see this error message in dmesg:
ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: unknown error 256
Is there an upstream linux bug for it? I found some things potentially related while searching, but nothing that’s the exact bug that I’m encountering. Given that it’s depending on whether the HDMI card is connected or not, I’m wondering whether it’s a Framework specific driver / firmware issue.
