I preordered the 12 with International layout but I would love to have a blank instead like available for other models.
Are there any plans for offering blank keyboard for the 12? Any chance it would be available before the preorder ships?

I really hope to see a clear version. I really like the material/finish they use on the clear ones vs the matte finish.
It’s unlikely o happen. On the framework 13 they use clear keycaps and add black foil onto them for different locales. This is to make the backlight work. And for the clear keyboards, they just leave out the black foil (or use transparent foil, not sure).
Since the Framework 12 doesn’t have a keyboard backlight, they’re probably using solid colored keycaps, so a clear version is unlikely to happen. A blank version would of course be possible, but I don’t know if there would be enough demand for that version, since it’s more aimed at students and institutions.
