Framework seems to be using a Micron kit 8533 MTs, for which I haven’t found details.
Intel Core 358H is listed by Intel as going up to 9600MTs but that’s likely for high performance soldered DDR5 with best signal integrity.
Framework lists speed 7467MTs, I suspect it’s the best they can guarantee with the routing on their FW13 main board with LPCAMM2 socket for 490€ for 32GB.
These modules are rated at 8533MT/s, and will run at up to 7467MT/s, the maximum supported by Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors.
Now, I found quite a few shops selling 7500MTs LPCAMM2 Crucial memory at around 300 to 350€.
I wonder about compatibility.
Would a Crucial 7500MTs LPCAMM2 kit work at 7500MTs speed? Or would it go slower because of some signal integrity loss or maybe not even boot?
Would Framework tested Micron 8500MTs kit actually go faster than 7500MTs with some bios settings and if the silicon and traces allow for it?
My plan is to first order a MOBO, and look around for LPCAMM memory and order it around july, hopefully getting a cheaper, compatible kit.
