I can’t find anywhere the history of all BIOS versions and all the information about what has been changed in them. And I know that I read somewhere that when updating the BIOS, both Thunderbolts on one side may stop working. Now I’ve bought an NVMe drive to put windows on so I can update the BIOS, but I’m afraid of two things.

I think my current version is 3.5, and the latest is probably 3.17 or something like that, and I’m afraid that something might go wrong with such a big jump (but I don’t really understand how it works).

From what I’ve heard, Windows 11 often has problems, and I don’t know if I should update from the older Windows 10 or the newer Windows 11 and risk microsoft messing something up and me not being able to boot up.
Maybe I’m worrying unnecessarily, but I would appreciate some advice/reassurance.
Thank you.
