Framework 13 usb-c port makes a high-pitched noise when charging with 12v

This post may be germane. The chargers mentioned are not good for cigarette lighter use - they need some decent 12volt power wiring.

Resurrecting this to keep a single topic in a single post when possible. I have a similar situation (lots of 12vdc power) and after some considerable search, found two likely 12vdc USB PD supplies. - Powerwerx 100w (established DC power equipment seller) - USB-Gear aka CoolGear 140w (product appears quality and I’ve heard of them before) Both offer one single usb-c port, IIRC.
