I am having an issue with my ethernet expansion card where after sleep mode in windows the card does not work when I plug an ethernet cord in. No lights, no connection in windows.
If I unplug the expansion card (not the cord, the entire card) and plug it back in it works again until I put the computer to sleep by closing the lid again.
I too would like to know this as well. I use a UGREEN Steam Deck dock and this always happens. If I turn on the laptop and simply use only wifi it says the ethernet is available but not connected - great. If I connect it, it will say that ethernet is connected. If my laptop sleeps, I connect it to the dock that has the ethernet connected, turn it on, it doesn’t recognize that. By that I mean that it doesn’t even have the message along the lines of “Ethernet is not connected” as if it never heard what an ethernet cable is. It’s as if the drivers for the ethernet capability was temporarily removed. While I don’t have the ethernet expansion, this issue is still relevant to me for a few months now. The only way to fix it is to restart the laptop. It’s really annoying. I’ve already tried unplugging the dock cable from the laptop from both the laptop side and from the dock side. I did the same thing for the ethernet cable from the dock as well as the power cable. Nothing works other than a restart.
i have the same Problem after install nividia card and update BIOS and driver. When I disconnect the Adapter it works until several minutes and disconnect again.
