Framework in the Chocolate Shop

How many of you have to clean the cocoa butter off your mainboard? Scrape chocolate out of the keyboard? Don’t even ask about the monitor.

This 11th Gen CoolerMaster has run the shop since I upgraded my laptop to AMD, a year or more ago. We use it for daily updates to our website, managing the shopify system we use for POS, online shop, and inventory, and for teaching masterclasses on zoom, among other things. I’m currently working on adding a fold-up keyboard using an old FW input cover and a bit of 3D printing.

It’s a Framework at work.

The AMD laptop travels with me to cacao farms in places like Belize and Guatemala, as well as to France, where I occasionally teach. It gets abused terribly, but has hung in there. I just updated the webcam, and it will probably need a new battery soon. Wonder if I can attach the old one to the CoolerMaster…

Manjaro Linux on both machines.
