The FW16 BIOS situation is rather confusing right now. What I know is:
- 3.05 is the latest stable release of the BIOS.
- 3.06 BETA was released on 6 August but was quickly shut down due to issues with the CPU clock speed getting stuck around 545 MHz after sleeping in some instances. (Source)
- 3.07 ALPHA was distributed directly to select customers starting last week. It corrects the sleep issue (and maybe some other issues) with 3.06. It might get released to the BETA channel sometime this week but there are users reporting that the current ALPHA build has some stability issues. (Source) (Source)
