When (if ever) will Framework switch to Qualcomm X2 Elite or other ARM processors? More and more computers nowadays are being sold with an ARM processor because of their great battery life and performance. I’ve heard of a third party ARM mainboard for the Framework Laptop, but it’s using an unusual processor that’s not compatible with Windows for ARM. I’d love to have an official Qualcomm ARM based Framework if that ever becomes available.

Also hoping for this one day. I’d buy an arm mainboard in a heartbeat

Just wanted to bump this thread with a link to 3rd party ARM mainboard from "MetaComputing" - #11 by geerlingguy — MetaComputing made an Arm board with the Cix P1 SoC (12 core, slightly less than M1 performance), and it can at least run the Windows 11 Arm installer (I haven’t gotten a full install running yet). Driver support in Windows on Arm is extremely lackluster though (not just for the Cix SoC), so outside of official Qualcomm Windows on Arm efforts, it’s still a bit of an experiment.
