Framework mainboard embedded in wireless power desk

I thought this was an interesting video just for the wireless power transmission system… But he held up the Framework mainboard and I literally put hands up in a victory pose lol

Now I wonder about an expansion card to be the wireless power receiver…?

This is a neat proof of concept. Extra points for using Framework for his demo! Curious as to the interference from the frequency that the power is being transmitted on if it will have some unforseen side effects or cause some noise in other wireless devices that would not normally be there.

I checked their site and they don’t specify the frequencies used in their product. From what I could find in some research over the last day or so since Matt posted the video, it looks as though longer range power transmission tends to operate in the low megahertz range (10-30MHz), which shouldn’t cause any interference for anything wireless, be it BT/WiFi or even a mouse/keyboard dongle since all should be well into GHz+

Also, Matt mentions in his video that it switches millions of times a second, which implies mere MHz. This matches up with my research and the ranges the product is capable of in the video.

As an aside, the company really underestimated Matt’s reach and the demand his video would create! It may be on backorder for a while yet.
