Framework Team Daily Drivers

I think it would be cool to hear about which Framework devices the staff at Framework use personally and professionally. What are your daily work devices? What are your daily personal devices? Which new device combination are you most looking forward to using?

I love this question!

Right now my main driver is Framework Laptop 13 Pro, and I’m using my Framework Laptop 12 (Bubblegum) as a secondary laptop. I have a Laptop 16 at the office, which I use one or two days a week (16 has been my main driver for so long!) I also have the desktop, which is connected to my TV and I mostly use it for gaming. I need the new wireless keyboard to complete that use case, looking forward to playing Baldur’s Gate 3 (again) from my couch with the wireless keyboard

You just need to add a CoolerMaster enclosure to complete the form factors collection.

Just switched over to the Framework Laptop 13 Pro (with the lavender keys and bezel of course) but my main was the lavender Framework Laptop 12. I think you’re starting to see a trend here lol I also have Framework Desktop in my living room for playing Phasmo in VR but also really looking forward to the Framework Wireless Touchpad Keyboard to test out other games.

Sure! Using a Framework Laptop 13 Pro now as my daily driver and it is truly amazing (a bit biased but…really). I use Ubuntu and GitHub - zachfeldman/gnome-prism: A desktop theme for Ubuntu/GNOME with a dark, high-contrast aesthetic, designed with and for the Framework Laptop 13 Pro (no affiliation with Framework) · GitHub as my theme. The DevEx is super good for me :laptop:

I typically use a Framework Laptop 16 as my “back up” machine and Framework Laptop 13 with an Intel 12th Gen CPU as my “back up back up”, but it depends on what we are “Dogfooding” at the moment

When at my desk, I’m pretty basic with an iClever Ergonomic Foldable Keyboard, BK06 Split Folding Bluetooth Keyboard (also fun to work outside with) and a Logitech M720 Triathalon Multi-Device Wireless Mouse (helps to have 3 bluetooth radios on each for the multiple devices). Also picked up the STENERIK Ikea laptop stand so I don’t kill my neck and that’s been really helpful recently.

Also on my desk, Anker Prime Charger, 250W GaN Prime USB C Charging Station, which comfortably powers 3 laptops + phone etc when needed. I keep our 240W power adapter handy if my Laptop 16 is really dead. I really like the Baseus retractable USB-C cables for power. They came out with a 6 foot one I now travel with, along with a random 65W GaN USB C Charger,2 Port Flat USB Wall Charger from Amazon, and recently the Anker Nano Portable Charger, 45W which seems like the best fit with my Framework Laptop 12 when I travel.

I have a Leopold FC660M Black PBT Mechanical Keyboard (Brown Cherry MX) that I use if I’m bored of the basic keyboard I use and wanna “bring on the clicky clacky”.

As far as a phone, I had a Pixel 5 for 5 or 6 years there, and recently upgraded to the Pixel 9a which I’ve been enjoying.

Hello! B2B Support guy here.

I use the Framework Laptop 13 pro for my daily driver now. For the longest time I used the Framework Laptop 16 7040 series for my daily driver and it was incredible.

I use Windows 11 for everything mostly, sorry.

I have a Keychron K2 keyboard and a Logitech M510 mouse. I have my computer connected to the worst curved Samsung monitor in existence.

After work, I game on a Framework Laptop 16 AI 300 series with the Nvidia Graphics Module. It runs incredibly. I may or may not have the one piece touchpad on it (I do and it is a game changer).

I’m editing a lot of videos so I use the Framework Laptop 16 + Graphics module (Windows) as my daily driver! I’m constantly changing the modules and bezel colors because it’s fun and also it adds variety to our videos on socials. :stuck_out_tongue:

But I’ve been trying Linux for the first time + testing the Framework Laptop 13 Pro with different creative apps (like Bitwig) and I love it so much! The lavender input cover color looks really good with the translucent purple bezel. I’m a Linux noob so I’ve been using Ubuntu, which feels good coming from Macbook Pro (which I no longer use hahaha).
