Getting better suspend battery using PPD instead of TLP (12th gen)

  • Arch Linux with KDE 5.27.10 and kernel 6.6.13 LTS

When using TLP (with no configuration), I lose on average >2.5% per hour vs using PPD(with no configuration) where I lose on average 1% per hour. Also, with TLP, I noticed that the system would turn on while sleeping as I’ll be able to connect my Bluetooth speakers to the laptop when the lid is closed.

PPD is configured by default to the different profiles it utilizes. Additionally there are settings in tlp specifically geared toward, bluetooth, specific auto suspend options etc. I recommend reading the base .conf file for it.

Will take a look! Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:
