I was helping someone troubleshoot connecting their HP laptop to a projector. It only had a single USB-C port and no other ports. We tried 2 different USB-C to HDMI dongles and a USB-C dock with HDMI and none of them worked. On a whim, I pulled the HDMI expansion card out of my laptop, and it worked!

Yeah I’ve been doing that with an old android phone that has a broken display too.
Touchscreen navigation gets weird when you have to guess where to click based on an image on a different screen. But it works
