HDMI port seemingly failed

Hi there,

I’m having issues with my HDMI expansion port. I’ve tried a different cable and a different monitor. Nothing works. A different laptop with the same cable / monitor works fine. I’ve updated all firmware. I’ve tried the HDMI port in different ports. I can only assume the port itself has failed.

Details are:

System: Fedora 41, Plasma 6.4.4
Kernel: 6.16.8-100.fc41.x86_64
GPU: AMD Phoenix1 [1002:15bf], driver amdgpu
Framework HDMI Expansion Card (32ac:0002)

All /sys/class/drm connectors show disconnected except eDP-1.

lsusb sees the HDMI Expansion Card:
ID 32ac:0002 Framework HDMI Expansion Card

dmesg excerpt after hotplug:
amdgpu 0000:c1:00.0: [drm] Alt mode has timed out after 215 ms
amdgpu 0000:c1:00.0: [drm] enabling link 2 failed: 15

Has anyone encountered / fixed anything similar?

Many thanks
