Just want to know how long the battery lasts?
That’s very vague there are so many set ups 3 x 11Gen 3 x 12 gen that’s nine, multiply that by the load added by various RAM set ups, expansion cards, the end is listless.
You may get 4 to 5 or 6 hours on low usage, browser etc.
There are multiple posts/topics on this so I suggest you search so that user don’t have to duplicate their experiences again here.
You may also get more than this. I get 8-9 with light usage on Linux, with quite a bit of tweaking.

Ok then… How much would a base 11 gen laptop with 8 GB ram, 256 GB storage, 2 usb-A ports, 1 hdmi port and 1 usb-c port last?

Using Windows I’d say a safe 5h, 6 is pushing it. As I said you’d best read what people have said rather than asking.
