I have owned a lot of computer hardware in my life, and all of it was sourced from multiple vendors going back to the Tandy 1000. In terms of laptops I have had used Acer, Dell, IBM (pre-Lenovo), Alienware (pre-Dell), System76, and Apple.
The Framework 13 is an amazing product. The fit and finish of everything is really nice. And I know that Framework is considered a premium retailer from the prices, but viewed as a whole, I feel that the price compared to performance and presentation is really a great deal when you have devices like Macbooks out there.
For more context, I am running Void Linux with Wayland and Hyprland. It is really an amazing experience when I look back my early days of trying to get my Matrox video card to work with X11 in Slackware back in the late 90s.
A little data point about memory support for everyone: I just installed a pair of 32GB sticks from PNY in my AMD AI 340 and it is working great! No issues so far.

Thanks to everyone at Framework! This has been a fantastic purchase, and my next desktop will also be a Framework.
If anyone wants to discuss Void, Wayland, or Hyprland and the 13, please feel free to drop a note.
Well, I’m running Debian with KDE/Plasma - also very happy with the Framework 13, especially with its performance. Booting, starting applications, building a large Java/Maven project or the Linux Kernel, tar’ing and encrypting large files - just amazing. I had some expectations but this is even more than I was hoping for.
