Intel AX210 Wifi Constantly Disconnecting On Arch Linux

Hi all,

I’ve had bizarre issues with the Wifi constantly dropping for months now.

I’ve got the Intel AX210 card installed, and decided to purchase that after reading about issues people were having with the AMD card.

However, my wifi connection has been constantly giving out, at a rate of up to 10 times per hour. This happens both at home and in hotels.

Any ideas what could be causing it? I know from other threads that there have been issues with the AMD wifi card. However, I’m not sure what I can do to even troubleshoot this. The dropping is completely random.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

Which Linux distro are you using? Arch Linux

Which release version? Rolling Release - last updated September 12, 2025

Which kernel are you using? 6.16.6-arch1-1

Which BIOS version are you using? 3.16

Which Framework Laptop 13 model are you using? AMD Ryzen 7040 Series

For what it’s worth, I have the exact same issue (though on the AI 300 chipset).

I was fed up with the mediatek wifi module, so replaced with the AX210 earlier today based on all the online recommendations. Wifi does seem stronger (i.e. 66% vs. 20% in the same location), but it disconnects for a few seconds pretty regularly. Argh.

Did you look at your powersaving settings at /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf ? Mine are:

options iwlwifi power_save=1
options iwlwifi uapsd_disable=0
options iwlmvm power_scheme=3

I am on an AI300 with the AX210 and no problems at all.
