Is the Ethernet Expansion card using Thunderbolt?

I run OpenBSD on my laptop and Thunderbolt is not supported. Dose the ethernet expansion card use Thunderbolt or not?

I mean…they all do. I imagine that your computer can negotiate a lower speed if needed.
